Learning about dialectial materialism and really, really studying its emphasis as it pertains to real, socialist experiments and national contexts is what ultimately makes a revolutionary steadfast and resistant to counter-revolutionary and idealist trends that deviate from Marxism, the dictatorship of the proletarian, and the revolutionary path towards socialist development. It's tough out there. If you're a Westerner, there are a lot of roadblocks to reaching the Marxist Leninist, dialectical materialist foundation as the necessary toolset and methods to the revolutionary path. Having historical understanding of events that have transpired and led to current present conditions and developments is vital to understanding whether something is beneficial to the world socialist revolutionary movement or whether it's a farce that benefits imperialist hegemony.
