I had a couple Wisdom Tree Game Boy games as a kid, never knew there was a port of Spiritual Warfare until recently. Excited to find a copy for a not ridiculous asking price!

Ah, the good old times of bootlegged Christian NES games.

The Analogue Pocket "Game Boy" is... an FPGA SNES? Is it just using borrowed assets?

I loved the concept of Super Game Boy but the wrong clock speed in it always annoyed me. Every game just sounded wrong. 😅

Something I forgot to mention, you can "fix" the speed in the Super Game Boy FPGA core by going into the core's settings.

If I remember correctly I think you can mod them to actually have the correct clock speed, but I'm not 100% certain on that.

You can, but you have to add the correct oscillator and associated passive components, or buy the Japan-only Super Game Boy 2 that fixed the issue.

One fun possibility is that if you get it running at the correct clock speed, you can also add the link port back in.

The main Analogue Pocket FPGA core(s) for playing Game Boy cartridges doesn't recognize these Wisdom Tree carts as legit carts, as far as the system behaves - there's nothing in the slot.

There is an openFPGA core for the Super Game Boy, though, that will read original Game Boy games from the cart slot, and I've found that I can play Wisdom Tree carts if I use that openFPGA core.

But also... Yes - the AP can be a FPGA SNES that can read roms from the sdcard, and is also a lot of other systems by using openFPGA cores. Combined with the dock and some wireless controllers, it's a less powerful mister system - but a portable one!

Holy! I didnʻt know it was on GameBoy either! I still have my NES cart. Iʻve also been playing it again, off and on, via Delta (by mirroring my iPad through an old AppleTV I picked up for $3). That game rules.

I still have my Game Boy Bible Adventures cart. The sticker came completely off though lol

I had the King James Bible and Joshua carts as a kid (and still do), but I never realized just how many games Wisdom Tree released on the Game Boy!

@Fwow13 is it one if those unlicsence bible themed games? Those always facinated me

I played one of these. It was Wolfenstein but the player was Noah with various slingshots, shooting seeds at animals on the ark so they'd fall asleep.

There being more than two of each animal totally broke immersion.

Super 3D Noah's Ark, for the SNES. That game was legitimately very fun.

@Nemo @saltesc yeah i was about to say that was the game! It even got a PC port and a remastered release on steam not long ago https://store.steampowered.com/app/371180/Super/_3D/_Noahs/_Ark/

Oh, that's it! Neighbour had it for DOS, I think. Was a loooong time ago. They weren't allowed violent games, yet parents got them Goldeneye on the 64 like a year later.

@saltesc maybe they eased up on games or maybe GoldenEye was not super high on the gore?
