My community college friend once offered me a snake in a can, but when I opened it, it just contained nuts.

Can somebody remind me what this content creator / series name is? There's one I want to dig up on YouTube but I can't remember what to search.

Is this some Australian joke?
'can of snakes' is an old physical prank consisting of a spring loaded snake inside a can disguised as peanuts or candy.
TIL
I've always felt that was more like the 70s.
I wasn't alive in the 70s, but I remember seeing them a bunch when I was a kid in the 80s. A lot of the time they were in cans labeled "peanut brittle," which I always thought was weird because to this day I have never once seen actual peanut brittle packaged in a can.
Yeah, I know I found them at my grand parents house, with my dad's sruff from the 70s. But the last time I saw one was then, in the 90s. Everyone probably threw them out when they got discovered that way with old stuff.
