Like I mentioned before, this is their new anti-China propaganda push. Just more brazen lies and bullshit

It feels like they're evading saying what the law actually is

Why would they? Then Australians might actually read it and think horrible thoughts like "Wow, that isn't actually that bad, why are these guys upset?" We'd be getting dangerously close to independent thoughts.

In Australia, if you do journalism they send you to a labor camp in the outback to harvest rocks that serve no purpose. yeonmi-park

Or they burn down your house and the cops have "no leads" but are sure to blame you and tell you to not step out of line, or else.

I love the part of the story where he was talking to the officer and was asked "Do you have any enemies?" and Jordie's reply was "How long do you got?". And then the officer had to stop him at a point because he had so many. Sign of a real journalist.

The article or accounts that keep spamming different links from obvious propaganda organizations based in DC?

[–] agentant@hexbear.net 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The article. The article never actually states what the threat is or anything within the bill.

[–] goferking0 6 points 1 day ago

That is the speciality of the articles that account spams

It's interesting how much they have write about a law without talking about any of its contents.

also funny how they're saying this in australia, where you definitely have to speak english and become an australian and even then it's a racist place. and remind me, how did/do the australians treat their "ethnic minorities" (the real natives)? :D

look up the stolen generations

And I think teaching everyone one language (at least) is good in Australia too even with the colonialism baggage.

[–] chgxvjh@hexbear.net 28 points 1 day ago

Oh no the want to teach children how to read and write.

Oh no they want to make it illegal for officials to object to multiethnic weddings.
