Look, the bar has been set so low that even Idiocracy has a better president.

Morgan Freeman and no one can say different. I can sleep on a cloud of his voice

Film: Dave (1993).

Everyone should watch this movie at least once.

[–] waggz@programming.dev 3 points 1 day ago

first thing to come to my mind... loved Kevin Kline in this!

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Anyone. Literally any movie president would be better than what we have. I'd take Bill Pullman, Harrison Ford, Jack Nicholson from Mars attacks, anyone.

[–] Globochan@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Terry Crews from idiocracy

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago

I'd like to see the House of representin be making some stupid votes with Terry Crews standing there flexing his pecs and glaring all angry at em.

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I'd be fine with that. He eventually found the smartest person in the world and put him in charge. Trump just appointss sycophants that are the most vile, evil people on the planet.

The versions of historical american presidents seen in the american mythology. The world could use a president as great as the George Washington patriotic Americans think he was.

beethoven stopped a girl from drowning, helped a kid stand up to bullies, helped a girl get a date, and stood up to sleezy business people stopping someone from making a bad deal. president beethoven would be a blessing.

The Federation president is probably passable. Though Star Trek really doesn't show how the Federation government is structured probably because they don't want to lean too much into the socialist undertones in case they get canceled (like actually canceled) for it.

For USA? Roland Crane, since his only act shown in his office was getting offed by missile strike.

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 58 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho

Of course...

"Idiocracy"

[–] Krinkil2705@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Came to check if his name's written already, am satisfied to see it.

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

I wasn't, but I am smart. So I fixed 😁

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Would make a way better president than our current Pedo-in-Chief...

[–] ajmaxwell@lemmy.world 27 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He knew things were bad and had the will to see them fixed, despite what the Representative from North Carolina said.

Also once Camacho found the world's smartest man, he demanded his help

As opposed to decrying him as a woke pansy intellectual and deporting him

We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

Bill Pullman is best president

Also I dunno why I always get chills when I hear this obviously cheesy line. He sold it.

[–] bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 days ago

Easily one of the best movie speeches of all time. I remember seeing it in a theater in NYC when it was first released, and the entire auditorium went apeshit.

[–] Zonefive@sh.itjust.works 29 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Kinda floored he hasn’t been mentioned yet, so I’ll throw him in the mix.

Dogshit president. Only accomplishment was cutting social security.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Too Kennedy.

honestly in the west wing world even arnold vinick would be good.

Alexander Purchinov.

he was a good man - but he gave up the presidency temporarily after lying about having MS, frequently engaged in black ops in other countries, shut down the government like Trump, and knowingly employed an alcoholic who was constantly relapsing during the campaign trail as his chief of staff. Also his communications director leaked military secrets, his press secretary was in a suspicious relationship with a journalist, his wife committed medical fraud and due to knock on affects of his security protocol he and his speech writer are shot, he and his senior staff are exposed to a potential chemical weapon and quarantined, several secret service agents are killed during active service protecting the first family, and during some of these killings his daughter is kidnapped.

His administration was a mess lol

that's a deep cut... but notsure if it counts since we never saw him officially nominated or elected though :p

great movie ("Being There" with Peter Sellers)

[–] Ibuthyr@feddit.org 14 points 2 days ago

Donald Trump. Because he'd be fictional and not real.

[–] SatyrSack@quokk.au 11 points 2 days ago

Henry Hayes from Stargate SG-1

[–] Mirshe@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

When he wasn't trying to engage in his favorite pastime of killing and vilifying Superman, Lex Luthor was a pretty good President all things considered.
