Society is based around releasing children into the wild with monsters to fight other monsters.....
Slaves are farming in sand and have to decide if they should fight their captors or the big worms that mess up their farms.

Not OP, but media is the plural of medium. You would have a medium, several media, or in the case, a piece of media.

A reclusive rich and mysterious person is locked away for some reason in a castle and the events play out from there like a period drama mixed with V for vendetta.
Thats my best guess
