I feel attacked.

Due to scheduling conflicts, my "weekly game" has been delayed a month. I have nothing written down.

Bi-weekly game checking in here, hoping to play tonight for the first time in months.

I don't write anything down because I figure the game's going to get postponed at the eleventh hour

lol, inspiration always seems to come last minute

I've got a magic item that I thought about a lot. Time to build a series of adventures around that

I really want to use the Alchemy Jar in a game. But I never found a way to fit it into the story.

Great item to throw in a random loot pile. Can fit in a pile of any creature of any CR. Why is it there? It was part of different treasure and no one bothers to use it or get rid of it. It's a dungeon white elephant

That's a good idea, thanks!

I have a great idea for a campaign that's roughly based on the Jackie Chan Adventures TV. They got to get the 12 talismans with one talisman per level with those talismans being the magic items.

The MacGuffin Chronicals

How fast can you pull an interesting battlemap and an interesting encounter ?

Because I had DMs making me wait while they cobbled something last minute that we couldnt avoid, meaning they could have planned it in advance with 0 chances of wasting the preps

Honestly that hasn’t become much of a problem yet. When I know there’s going to be combat I’m pretty good at prepping in advance but the rp and other stuff I tend to just make up on the fly.

It’s also how I ended up with two NPCs named Phil…

Oh easy, just draw what the players see and let them discover the rest as they go.

Then throw the right player a trigger line and you have half an hour to draw the next 5 lines.

[-] sammytheman666@ttrpg.network 3 points 1 year ago

That works ! Drawing lines when the caster doesn't know what to do is tight !

I'm sorry that the shambling wreckage of the rest of my life negatively impacted the thing I put together for your amusement.

Like, 30 seconds? Throw a dhohanoid into a big cave with a barrier that causes fear. Have a group of shovelheads encroach on the party's territory.

I have some grid paper, and a couple of monsters picked out. Let's see where that leads us!

Lol that's a vibe. One of my players has been running a mini campaign for the last 2 months that is wrapping up soon. I've got nothing yet.

Because I have no idea either!
