Japanese misprint is where the real money is.

Nah, in this delulu dreamland scenario both Williams beat the Ferraris on pace 👍

I can't make any other app look and feel as nice as Sync, honestly. I was trying out Thunder just now, and maybe I could get used to it but the user avatars don't work for some reason. I don't disagree about ljdawson though and I wish it was different.

I agree, though you'll probably get a lot of pushback on that from Fediverse enthusiasts since it goes against the idea of the decentralised concept and we should "distribute the users more evenly among instances". At least that was the way discussion went on this topic back in 2023.

For the moment I feel like lemm.ee is a fairly solid "default" to recommend, though. Few defederations and great admins, very stable amd large enough to have a populated /all but not the massive behemoth that is .world (which I do agree has gotten too large).

Russel starting 4th with Max and both McLarens ahead of him... Is a little Georgepedo too much to ask for? Take em all out, Yuki gets his first win, Williams double podium? Imagine?

Instance admins can transfer ownership of communities, so if the existing one already has a good amount of subscribers I think I would try getting in contact with instance admins first.

I also think Nolan is overrated but The Prestige is a good movie.

Paris, Texas. Pure desolate vastness, pain and longing and loneliness. The whole soundtrack is out of this world. Absolute pitch-perfect genius by Ry Cooder setting the tone for what is also a phenomenal film in its own right.

I think I missed the window on Undertale. Who knows, if I played it when I was 17 I might have a different opinion but the whole "I'm so quirky and random" schtick doesn't really land with me.

It's... complicated. It was originally issued for the Polynesian island Niue, but it's currently controlled by the Internet Foundation in Sweden. There are a lot of Swedish sites using it since "nu" means "now" in Swedish. Feddit.nu is the primary Swedish Lemmy instance since Feddit.se was registered but abandoned.

While I can't personally participate I love the initiative!

I used to go to BrrrakeF1 (an ex race engineer for Red Bull), and would listen to the Engine Braking podcast for my F1 analysis fix in podcast form because of him. It's been over a year since he's quit content creation by now though, and I'm feeling the void still.

Does anyone else know of a podcast with good technical knowledge? KYLE ENGINEERS is always good for aero analysis at the start of a season, but ideally I want something more regular than that.

Amazing interview in 3 parts with one of not only the prominent writers behind the game, but one of the co-creators of the setting through years of tabletop sessions and world building. Amazing insights into the game, the development and the lore - an absolute must watch for anyone obsessed with Disco Elysium.

The beautiful game.

As an early contributor to Disco Elysium, as well as a member of Kurvitz's tabletop sessions over the years, Martin Luiga discusses Elysium, as well as touches on his relationships with Robert and Argo Tuulik and more. He also confirms he, Robert, Alex Rostov and Helen Hindpere are in fact working on something for Red Info.

Worth listen!

This one has Argo Tuulik and Lenval Brown involved, which lends some serious credibility to the project in my eyes. Tuulik was one of the prominent writers of Disco Elysium, as well as one of the settings' co-creators as one of the players in Kurvitz's tabletop RPG sessions.

Pictured in this graph: what xG does to a motherfucker.

I thought this graph was super interesting as it is a near-perfect illustration of when data analytics and advanced statistics started to enter into football (2014-2016) and some of the effects it's had on the game.

It's very sad to see one of the most high-effort Dota content creators stop. I completely sympathise with their reasons, but I will sorely miss their videos as there were so many heroes I wish they'd gotten to do videos about.

We're finally off the ground! 8 teams left, who are your favourites? What do you think about the arena and production? Will we see any fun surprise?

Still have an open void in your life since the Olympics ended? Why not fill it with some esports? Valve's huge The International tournament for Dota 2 started this week, so I thought I'd make a promo post for its community here on Lemmy.
