Generative music, polyrhythmic live-looping, and odd textures. Unrehearsed and in real-time.

Little late to the party, but Ive done DI the last bunch of shows Ive played. It simplifies things. If I were playing Carnegie Id bring an amp, but to a bar? Save some stage space, one less thing to kick over mid-set. Ive had sound guys mic me off-axis, lol. Im my experience, sound guys like giving you the XLR. Stage presence hasn't been that bad either, maybe Ive just been lucky, but they've been able to push bass into my monitor.

Its funny that a lot of people will promote large-government policies but simultaneously hate their government :]

This is not the first embarrassment Detroit PD has seen with the tech. Pretty sure theres another from before that, too! The reality is that it only 'works' in China because they say it does... Black paintballs are inexpensive.

I dont think its even that convenient! It requires electricity, web connectivity and loads of digital logic. My state ID just tangibly exists.

Its hard to believe anyone would use the thing. It'll be more problematic if/when its used for regulatory purposes. Sort of at the desensitization still. Today.

I had to take a State exam for licensure a few years back. I was told that I had to take a palm/vein scan to prove my identity. I informed her Ive never had one so it could not prove my identity-- but hey, Im the crazy one. Its on a server somewhere now tho... Modernity is pretty stupid, tbh.

"A new Johns Hopkins Medicine analysis of national trauma data shows that trauma patients were four times more likely to die from gunshot wounds and nearly nine times more likely to die from stab wounds before getting to a trauma center in 2014, compared with rates in 2007."

A man of civics :] Very cool.

I agree with pretentiousness-- They were trying really hard. By and large I like that, the big ideals. The unavoidable glaring problem is the paradox of freedom AND governance. Like, even lawless pirates begged the question; 'What do we do with a drunken sailor?'. Its not trivial.
