The real issue is they want to shove every round peg into the square hole of live service to try and get that sweet sweet monetization even when it makes no sense.

I actually genuinely unironically believe that live service is the best option by far for fighting games in the future though. Make it free with a rotating available roster and then charge for a perma unlock and then monetize the hell out of skins/intros/cosmetics. Really excited for 2xko.

Genuinely was wondering: what food/drink actually uses red 3 today? Like definitely sounds like it should probably be banned from food one way or another but every food I can think of with red dye is red 40. Edit: like if it doesn't go without saying you should probably avoid red 40 also just cause you should avoid processes foods with additives as much as possible...but still better.

Indeed. Also worth pointing out to those who may not know: while the bulk of that was part of the trump administration a not insignificant portion of it was conducted under Biden before he shut it down.

I can't say its jaw dropping because it was kinda an open secret but: Given how much actual disinformation and bullshit was going on in the middle of COVID on social media it's a pretty chilling mask off reveal on what the actual priorities are. Honestly if you had told me this is how it would play out even just 2 years ago I don't know if I would have believed it.

I know i'm preaching to the choir here but I seriously want to ask the libs: How is this anything but a complete and unconditional surrender of the legal system? You broke the law. You were convicted of a serious crime. Your sentence is that you're free to go sir, "god speed".

Like that's fucking it. If the laws ever did matter they sure as fuck don't anymore. He is materially above it and free from all consequences. So what are you gonna fucking do about it?

Once they completely solve the burn in problem with OLED, assuming they haven't already, I honestly genuinely don't know where they actually are gonna go from here. Even for gaming (VR not withstanding): 4k HDR+ @120hz is already more than what 99% of the market could ever genuinely want (let alone need) and if you genuinely are that top 1% of prosumers you are almost certainly more invested in a dedicated desktop monitor than a giant TV. For movie/tv watching experiences we're already well past what most content can even handle since nearly everything even at the highest budgets in Hollywood is mastered with a 2k digital intermediary before they upscale it and I don't see that changing anytime in the near future. I'm not sure if it did, with how far ahead TV is of the source content, it would even matter.

Nobody needs 8k. I don't even mean most consumers don't need 8k. I mean even most prosumers or video professionals don't need 8k, let alone 16k which the new HDMI 2.2 spec supports. Its a dead end.

Genuinely: whatever level of media consumer you are I don't think you'll be able to tell much difference if any between a panel released this year and a panel 10 years from now. Its all just quality of life updates and gimmicks from here on out.

Based on what we understand about the universe I honestly genuinely think that Aliens who could accomplish intergalactic travel would basically have to be some kind of eldritch horror to our eyes. Their biology or perception of time would be have to be so far removed from what we think of as sentient life I think we'd find them beyond comprehension.

You know I have a feeling there's a few libs out there who see this as some kind of statement about presidential transitions or whatever and how Biden is being the bigger man.... ignoring that Guiado and, presumably, this loser both represent US backed attempts to do a fucking coup. The irony is incredible.

An actual big question you really have to ask these days is: do you give a shit about 4k gaming?

If you don't and you're fine with 1080p then I would wait a few more weeks when the rtx 5 series is announced and get a discounted 3060 or even 4060.

What is it about total ecological collapse that people don't understand? You won't be able to grow food, FFS. You are going to die.

People like this are always convinced that they'll be on the life rafts whenever the collapse happens and they'll get to live in their secure bunker with self sustaining star trek ecosystem 3d print replicators. IE: "some of you may die...but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make."

I once had an idea for a dating app where you could just put a profile up and then set yourself to a unique mode where you would essentially automatically match with anyone who swiped right but also you couldn't scroll through profiles either.

My working name for the app was "Settle"
