It was an interview, but it was his voice. He was talking about French colonialism and imperialism in general. Nothing that was said I would disagree with, but it sounded like it was an AI dub of his own voice. I'll find the thread and link it

Yeah, pretty sure I called out an AI generated one the other day. The delivery was very jarring.

Wow. What an incredibly irritating video

Say you have some code that a lot of people are working on. You might personally change a small part of that code and then submit what is known as a Pull Request. The pull request is then reviewed by whoever is responsible and if accepted the code base is updated to include your changes/additions

Because they weren't based in a country trying to join NATO during those 30 years. Until the maiden coup they were very close.

Imagine if China managed to orchestrate a coup in Scotland. Do you expect the British wouldn't attempt to secure their nuclear submarine bases on the coast near Glasgow?

Some Australian dude pointed at my belly the other day and said "oh wow you have..." And I said "I know, I know, an outie", and then he said no, you have abs. That was a pretty good ego boost. He then tried to lick my belly button

I'd say they are doing a pretty good job of dismantling and privatising it under our noses. When I was a kid I got my teeth fixed with braces for free. Can't do that anymore. Can't even go to the dentist for a checkup without paying for it now. I'm sure people have other examples if they want to chime in

The pollution one blows my mind. Not only is it lower per capita than basically every western nation, but it also includes the pollution from the manufacture of pretty much everything the West uses. The cherry on top being that China is the only developed nation making a serious attempt to transition to green energy.

Was being nice to Biden the best strategy do you think? Is being nice to Trump the best strategy?

Let's be honest, they were hardly going to leave their nuclear submarine bases in the hands of a hostile government, were they...

Pictured: Me changing the game

I'm still stuck on this bus driving over the bumpiest roads known to man though

P.S. yes, of course I pissed my pants, I'm not an amateur

I cannot get this out of my head

I've been running regularly since August, gradually upping the distance, getting faster, and learning how not to obliterate my hips, knees, legs and feet. Although it took longer than I had hoped I finally managed to run a half marathon yesterday in the town of Aomori, Japan. It just so happened that the start line for their half marathon course was outside my hotel so I thought why not just go for it.

I set out with 2 running gel sachets and a bottle of water and started pounding down the coast road. 8.5km to the outside of the city, turn around back to the start, then over a road bridge for a few more Kms before returning home. I managed to PR my 10km, 15km, and 10miles and got a 1:51:03 for the half marathon.

I'm super stoked. Insanely pleased I got sub 2 hours on my first attempt, and I can't believe I finally did it.

My legs feel fine today, a little sore but nothing terrible.

Next milestone is the 30k. Let's fucking go!

Actually what the fuck is going on in the west

Every week they spend Friday doing art instead of working. This week they were colouring in mandalas. At the end of each session the art teacher reviews each piece and tells the creator what is in their heart based on how they've drawn or coloured their piece. After this they did a sort of tarot card thing where each person picked a card which has an attribute on it like focused or loyal or whatever. Finally it ended with a sort of zen prayer thing from the teacher.

Throughout all of this there was a professional photographer talking pictures. He insisted that he take a bunch with me and everyone else.

I made friends with everyone here. They were so happy when I said I loved Mao and that I was a communist. I discussed how I became a communist over the last 5-6 years and the things that radicalised me.

I ended up inviting one of the participants out for drinks later that night and I think we'll stay in touch. She's an English teacher in her spare time. Anyway, she sent through all the pictures that the photographer took.

All in all 10/10 wholesome experience and without trying to be patronising, these people were so fucking adorable.

Wuhan is a great city.

Bonus picture of me explaining my cool fucking hat.
