According to a survey done by the Switch Weekly newsletter, which would probably skew more hardcore and less family than average although he seems to have pretty good reach with 3,700 responses.

40% were using a family plan for the Nintendo subscription (of the 77% total who paid for online at all). And 45% had more than one Switch in their household, so about 1/2 of the market being family driven would sound about right to me. The median amount spent on games was $35 a month while average was 52USD. 32 sounds closer to what a family might spend (a new game every 2-3 months).

They deserve it. I saw a Yoshi kidnap someone's baby for likely nefarious purposes.

also due to inflation they've added in 2 more stages of grief.

dudes on youtubve mad about nintendo prices are calling this post-capitalism right now.

it's still capitalism, dude. this is what it does. trying to constantly redfine what you want capitalism to be based on your feelings instead of empirical analysis is nonsensical. you ever read the lovecraft story herbert west: reanimator? where the dude keeps killing people and administering his anti-death serum closer and closer to the point of death because he's so sure he has the cure for death, but it gets to the point where he's killing people and instantly injecting them with the serum to the point that the serum is useless. after every attempt he says something like 'i need them fresher yet.'

that's youtube liberals with capitalism. after every attempt in which it doesn't do what you want you'll go "i need it a more pure capitalism' that only works in the dreams of the liberal thought prison.

Yeah, they're pretty consciously fascistic and anti-communist now that they can feel the bolstering of anti-capitalist rhetoric from the masses breathing down their neck. We need to go harder on them (agitation) and expose them for the right wing psychos they truly are.

Annoyed no one can think of any retaliation or program that isn't just sales or import taxes. Like in Canada, just ban the fucking Teslas, dipshits. Don't even bother with taxing them, as much as I'd love to tax Tesla-buying dipshits.

Tesla, Nvidia lead 'Magnificent 7' losses premarket as EU tariff retaliation looms

"Magnificent Seven" stocks are sliding premarket, led by declines in Tesla (TSLA), Nvidia (NVDA), and Apple (AAPL), after China announced retaliatory tariffs against the US and the European Union prepares its own set of countermeasures.
. . .
"Roughly 50% of earnings in the Magnificent 7 come from abroad," Sløk wrote. "That is higher than for the S&P 500, where the share is 41%. With trade making up a bigger share of GDP in the rest of the world than in the US, the trade war will have a disproportionately more negative impact on the rest of the world."

"As a result," Sløk continued, "the Magnificent 7 will be hit harder on their global earnings than other S&P 500 companies. Their earnings could be even more negatively impacted if Europe retaliates in the form of a digital services tax."
Tesla dropped 6.7%.
Nvidia: Down 4.5%.
Apple: Down 4%.
Meta (META): Down 3.3%.
Amazon (AMZN): Down 3.2%.
Microsoft (MSFT): Down 2.4%.
Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL): Down 2.3%.

(don't know how to link the specific section I quoted, sorry)

Vinesauce fans are massively parasocial with Vinny too.

Wife just said maybe we should try an open world relationship. I am ruined.

In my screams and tears I asked if this was all just a game to her.

She said: "literally, yes."

I will never stop crying

Got home from work early today and could hear playful giggles from the living room. As I neared I could more clearly make out her saying stuff like "oh yeah, I like that," "it looks so big," and also kept saying Mario over and over (mispronounced). Walked into the livingroom and she hastily closed the laptop resting on her thighs. Her breath heavy and face covered with shame.

I asked her what she was just watching and she said nothing. Said she was justst looking up Light Switches online, was thinking about preordering 2 of them for the bedroom maybe.

I forced open the laptop and the video immediately started playing. I closed it. I was so disgusted. She said she was going to boycott it in solidarity with me. But here she was hyping herself up with this E-rated smut.

I don't know if I will ever trust her again. Especially stings because I've been boycotting Konami with/for her because her brother was killed by a poorly designed DDR dance mat.

The problem with DVDs at least is they use an organic compound for the dye in the reflective disc backing or whatever that slowly breaks down but I believe blu-rays don't. Only issue for BDs is if they're manufactured incorrectly.

Also reading the Haruhi Suzumiya manga because I don't think I've ever read it before? I've read the books and watched all the anime but never the manga I don't think. I like it. The art is kinda' bad for the first 3-5 volumes but everything after looks pretty good. Wish the anime covered more of the story.

Gunna' start linking to the latest translated GCCX episodes here maybe. Watched this the other day when it was released on Nyaa. Was a fun episode since it's such a bizarre game in general and for the show. I like the art style and the story, although the gameplay looks fucking awful to me. Also got frustrated watching Arino struggle with the puzzles. And the older lady store owner was funny.
