thats why i retracted my own application, and am taking a break from the site and this account.

also a little bit since people are still labeling me incorrectly as the transphobic/ableist/death-threat-making wrecker and i think that is going to be mis-associated with me because a bunch of you users were more up for senseless witch hunts than being reasonable humans. I was enjoying the weekend off and yall decided to be shitty wtf.

anyway, eepy time for me, have a nice day

you are deeply unserious

[–] HelltakerHomosexual@hexbear.net 2 points 5 months ago (2 children)

im fine with being at odds with yall, thats a stupid reason

being worried about my immaturity would be an actual reason, idk why you didnt say that

i think you're misattributing, posting goes up and down all the time. people are making a big scare over 'less posting is happening' when there are far more active users now on average than ever before. i think you notice the lack of content more if you're on hexbear too much, so you really feel the time in between posts. thats my personal experience at least. I suggest logging off for large portions of the day, and coming back when comfortable.

no, you're an internet person wearing persecution around like a costume

please touch grass

[–] HelltakerHomosexual@hexbear.net 13 points 5 months ago

i would like to see that become a reality

[–] HelltakerHomosexual@hexbear.net 4 points 5 months ago (4 children)

trust that it is being taken into consideration

Fuck ada tbh, has done fuck all to protect trans people and has done a fuckton to protect the kind of people that say this shit. There's even more shit in the thread here: https://lemmy.ml/post/22194896

its a fucking shitshow dear god i dont know how marcie survives the sea of morons

its very strange to see trans servers and sites that are so pathetic at actually defending trans people and educating the cis people around them. Trans spaces are for trans people, and while cis people are allowed, any weird shit from them should get them an immediate ban. Several of the shit talkers are just cis randos giving their hateful opinion.

thank god for people like Kristina and TC_69 to have a competent defense of trans people.

I was debating the merits of incorporating some anarchist ideology, since my professor has been introducing some things to us.

Anarchism, different types, has its appeal.

but I keep running into multiple positions that i can't for the life of me understand. This one in particular. How do you have solidarity when you can't support states or hierarchies?

Also the existence of states, and what it takes to abolish them is of great interest to me. Because it seems to be as simple as uh, implementing direct democracy? Or some form of democratic functions in all society. So all institutions and borders can exist, but if you're democratic you're good? Do all situations really have to involve everyone?

so is literally a few elections and renaming institutions enough to replace the nation state? Seems incredibly easy then, i dont know what the fuss is about. (Although i think democratic armies are stupid why should that be a thing.)

Also my professor has an annoying tendency to hate on former socialism whenever its brought up. Also the sort of stereotypical obsession with rojava (which explicitly enshrines the right of private property, but otherwise i support the fight of the kurdish population for liberation) and the Zapitistas (who denounce western anarchism and explicitly identify as a sort of their own ideological deviation from marxism. Libertarian socialism in reality. Not hating on the Zapitistas of course, they're cool as fuck and i support their fight against discrimination of ethnic minorities and natives. Other anarchists have a liking of Makhnovshchina, which gets a lot of undeserved hate in marxist circles but was more a warlord state than anarchist. But i'd be fine with that because it was a rough time and they were doing what they had to, but explicit denial of this and upholding it is very strange to me.

But these are... states??? Why is it Marxist states that get flak?

wait its probably the purges... yeah i'd be mad about that too if it was me...

Anarchists i think get lots of undue hate towards them as well, with many criticisms brushing them aside being equally applicable to marxism.

Also i dont want to see any marxists give a joking or sectarian answer, or ill report them. Im interested in learning the responses of anarchists, and the best ones i can find are usually here. I can get kind of defensive, i dont like being wrong, but i do genuinely want to learn.

The new uMkhonto weSizwe or MK party of south africa claims ties to socialism, but is a FALSE CONSCIOUS PARTY! It has far right social views and is being used by many right wingers to cannibalize the EFF and to hurt its prestige. Sadly it succeeded in the 2024 elections by taking away the spot of 3rd largest party from Julius Malema's Economic Freedom Fighters! Although there are several suspicions of tampering by the government in order to make sure that no popular explicit pan african communist organization comes to power.

The MK party is a direct response to the EFF's TRUELY COMMUNIST political organization, and to its unwavering support for the LGBTQ community, staunch feminism, and true economic socialism. the MK party is a fraud! The party of the corrupt president Zuma!

Do not look at this rising 'socialist' power in south africa with joy, it is a false concious movement that poaches conservatives and socialists alike in order to maintain a status quo. It wants to ban gender and sexual minorities in south africa. Its foreign policy is WEAK and would probably be co-opted into pro western movements. It is trying to manipulate the Progressive Caucus alliance from within to weaken the truly revolutionary Economic Freedom Fighters!

Julius Malema is the person that South Africa needs! A true socialist! A true anti imperialist! The EFF is the party the People need! The TRUE party of Mandela, continuing his real legacy.

We can only hope that the EFF can come back from its defeat to rise once more! Or the tides of the EFF revolution will sweep the nation if need be!

boring as fuck jokes, liberal cringe opinions, 9 bad takes out of 10, and more galore. Should hexbear really keep associating itself with Chapo, it really seems that hexbear has outgrown it in general.

edit: by associating i mean using things like chapotraphouse com or askchapo or chapochat. maybe we've grown beyond it, maybe its a neat part of site culture and a nod to its roots while not connected to the cringe stuff.

genuinely people who hold this opinion and wonder wistfully about it should be executed by firing squad. The 'Armchair historian' youtube channel just did a whole thing about it and genuinely i regard this man as worthy of being dumped in acid for this video alone.

the allies after going to war with the nazis, declaring war on the soviets, rebuilding the fascist army, would probably lose spectacularly.

Im not saying that that soviets would have rolled over them like paper, but the idea that the allies would gain any more than a Pyrrhic stalemate after losing in france and italy is so fucking dumb. the people who know the devastation after ww2 and are like 'i want another one just to destroy the soviets' are as anticommunist as the nazis and should be treated as such. they should also follow their fucking leader.

would be fun

Soviet art and media was so far ahead of its time its insane. Lots of modern capitalists still depict Blacks with racist caricatures. Soviet cartoons in the 60s and before depicted the truth of imperialism and what oppressed peoples do in order to fight against it heroically.

Nina Andreyeva is a name all should know and be educated. She was at the front of the true communists agitating against perestroika and glasnost, and for the restoration of socialism in the USSR. This essay divided the Soviet Union when it was published, and heightened the communist resistance to the perestroika reforms as half the soviet union cried for socialism! This should be read by every Marxist Leninist as a source of hope and inspiration. The Soviet Union did not go down without a fight! They were fighting until the very end.

Advocate for Restalinization, a return to socialist economics, and a against opportunism and subversion. She is an inspiration to all for standing against revisionism and socialist deconstruction. The last Chairman of the CPSU(B), and die hard communist until she died in 2020. Nina Andreyeva, Grigory Romanov, Boris Pugo, Gennady Yannayev, and other true communists who fought for the preservation of soviet socialism should be honored for all time.

I want to learn more about the resistance to gorbachev and what sectors enabled the right's rise to power. betrayal from within the party is disastrous and learning from this is necessary to help make sure we dont repeat their mistakes.
