I use a quest 1 on Linux.(According to the alvr the quest 3 is also fully supported) Played about the last half of half life on Linux.

However some VR games just don't run well under proton I still have windows installed for that. Even if i didn't boot into windows for a half year now.

Also first recommend installing Linux in dual boot with windows if you don't know if al your programs/games work. Nowadays most stuff works but you can always keep windows for just in case.

Most card only shops/places have a sticker on there door. But as a non Dutch person you probably don't know how they look.

If you are somewhere where card or cash is not always accepted it's pretty normal to ask beforehand. Past summer we where on holiday in the Balkan where paying with card wasn't always possible. We just ask beforehand then we can check if we had enough cash or we choice to go somewhere else.

If you in a situation (especially in a bar) there is probably someone how is willing to pay for you with card and you pay them with cash. You maybe don't get all the change but you problem is fixed. Or how it was fixed now.

But if you are abroad and don't know it just ask beforehand. Doesn't matter if you want to pay with card or cash.

Same as all liberals they rather protect capital and work together extreme right parties. Then giving some crumbs to the left.

Same happened in the Netherlands with the vvd and nsc. They are now in a cabinet with extreem right(wich the media isn't called extreme right any more but radical right) and in the senaat they will be working together with the FvD (a (proto) fascist party) and the sgp a extreme christian party.

He now hopes the left voters are so scared they vote for him and when he doesn't get a majority his party will work together with extreme right.

Edit: but not French, however we in the Netherlands already had this happen. Same is happening all over the western world and outside of it.

Do to a busy life (both good and bad stuff) I had a bit of a late start planting and sowing seeds indoors.

But today cut the grass (which was knee high 😅) and planted a courget plant. Some weeding in the beds (I did it weekly luckily) and looks much nicer.

Tomorrow or Monday the tomatoes and cucumbers will be planted. After that most seeds I have can be direct sow from now on.

I already mentioned pretendo in a comment. But for anyone how wants to play super Mario maker on there Wii u after the shutdown. You can switch networks (you of course need to (soft)mod your Wii u).

In super Mario maker uploading, playing uploaded levels, death point, world record and staring them works. There is still a lot missing. But you can still play.

Some games and features are behind a payed beta(which I hate). But all super Mario maker stuff is free.

Seeing wara wara plaza alive on my Wii u is amazing with random Mii's and post from miiverse.

I already switched my Wii u over to the pretendo network. Uploading and playing levels already work in super Mario maker.

It's still far of from a drop in replacement, but miiverse, wara wara plaza and som in game things are working.

I "just" moved and now taking care of the garden. I want a small vegetable garden (again) in raised beds.

You have a lot of raised beds kits the cheapest ones are €40 and more expensive ones are €90. I however used pallet collar's at €5 a piece. You don't even have to screw them together just put them down. For some custom size beds I use free pallets. They do take some work however.

Give them one treatment with linseed oil and you can use them for years. They live longer then the cheap kits and just a bit shorter then expensive ones. (Hardwood probably out life them)

Kits for vegetable gardens are most of the time really overpriced. Raised beds kits, tool kits and so on.

If you want high quality tools buy them of course, but starter kits are most of the time just the cheapest ones at a premium. Want hardwood raised beds, just buy wood and not a kit.

I suggest start on the cheap side, see if it your hobby. Buy cheap tools they already least long enough and if they break you know that you maybe want to invest in a premium one. Because you use that tool really often. (Second hand old tools are sometimes a better option of course)

Unfortunately no other nodes nearby. But 2 will be moving nodes. Did anyone find some nodes in the wild?

Not op but also don't have a steamdeck, but my tv setup is also reported as steamdeck. I use Chimera OS on my PC connected to my living room tv.

It uses just some old parts left over a 4 gen i5 and a Rx 470.

I must admit I have a ender 3 v2 with zero upgrades. I just prints without a lot of tweaking.

I do however look what I can upgrade, but as it's working fine never did it.

AMD is better on Linux most of the time. Running a AMD card day one is not hassle free.

That being said if you pick a up to date distro all 7000 and 6000 series should work fine now. They are already in the kernel and mesa for a while. You may want to update you kernel and mesa sometimes to get better performance and stability.

But in my experience nvidia is fine on Linux. (I only used older cards gtx 970 and a rtx 2060) especially when you have just one monitor or all monitors on the same refresh rate. It's not on par with windows but will work with the Nvidia drivers.

So I would say if you a simple setup Nvidia is fine and AMD is better. It all depends on the best deal you can get. If ray tracing is not that important AMD is new the best value. If you more on a budget second AMD Rx 5700 XT are pretty cheap here and there are some good deals on Nvidia 30 series cards.

As far I have read intel cards can be a pain on Linux. So I would not recommend it for now.

You can still own and buy appartements in most places in the world. Then there are many forms of social housing.

Rent to own is also a possibility but not seen in most countries.

Seems your problem is not ownership but landlords.

Some countries in Europe have the right to roam on any land. State owned and private owned. (Maybe more countries somewhere else have it to but I don't know)

It does not need to be so terrible. In some places it just is because of profits
