I'm honestly glad that 84% of people haven't used "AI". Despite all the hype and propaganda, they haven't been able to get a lot of people to really engage with it. Most of those people probably did one or two prompts and realized it was dogshit and stopped.

If it prevents new carbon from entering the air and carbon cycle then it's a good thing. It would turn industries more carbon neutral.

If it becomes efficient enough it might be a good way to get carbon out of the air for good as long as we find a way to store it. That solution is obviously not aligned with capitalism so it's a good thing China is developing it.

We also don't know the lower limit of cost so this technology might never come up again if it's not feasible.

It was really jarring when they started locking up the razors and requiring an employee unlock the case. The idea of placing the antitheft tags on like a bag of cheetos is so dystopian but at this point I'm not surprised. It's going to get worse and we will see them expand their control over us with this shit. I don't know how much further this can get but I also don't believe in the American people to do anything meaningful to resist this for a while.
