because real estate agents simply won’t sell to them.

It's also because our state and local officials either A) completely misunderstand how to distribute Low-Income Housing Credits or B) Have a full understanding of the consequences of concentrating poverty within a central location via Low-Income Housing Credits, and do it anyway.

If you do not spread the LIHCs around your state / city within “High Opportunity” areas, you just compound the poverty. When you stack poor people on top of poor people under the guise of “Well this area is full of poor people so let's designate more LIHC there because they need them.” you just create a multiplicative effect on the areas' poverty. No one can afford to patronize the businesses in the area, and no one living in the area can afford to open a business. Which means no local employment for the poor, and no local commerce for the poor. They have to travel for work, travel for groceries, travel for everything. This means they're either buying a car and maintaining it, or attempting to rely on dilapidated public transportation.

What you get are dens of poverty that actually make it even harder to rise out of poverty, and total segregation of a population that ultimately skews black and brown. The real estate agents hardly need to expend any energy to be racist when the structures they work inside of area doing most of the heavy lifting for them.

Hey bud, good effort but I ran your report through an "AI Detection" website and it said it was 89% positive you used AI to write this. I'm going to have to give you an F on the assignment unless you rewrite it again but in your own words.

I wasn't looking for this clip, but it found me anyway. Scrubbing through this for something else, and boom, here this dude is. Having only just learned who LaRouche is, it's funny that I stumbled into this just now. Working through the TrueAnon podcast about him currently.

I got one friend who will not shut up about the MIC (military industrial complex). He'll go on and on about how much it ruins shit and how much is influenced by it. But concepts like Imperialism and its relationship to capitalism is some how beyond him. Instead its just "humans who are the problem"

The thing that I'm reminded of constantly is that there is a language we all use but all the words mean different things.

  • Capitalism
  • Imperialism
  • Fascism
  • Authoritarianism
  • Totalitarianism

I couldn't begin to tell you what I used to think these meant and what the people around me think they mean still. No one (save for one person in our group) would be bothered to read a book on the subject.

Like, the MIC comes from somewhere, if it pisses you off so much, wouldn't you want to understand it, so you can combat it?

These are loose, unserious thoughts

  • I feel like local republicans are a dime a dozen, and if you're in a democrat dominated area, you might get a position based on rules. In my area you can't have a true majority, only a 2/3rds majority. So that means there are always seats that go to Republicans, even though they get like 1/2 the vote.
  • Even if it only works once, you get like 2ish years to fuck with republicans all you want, undermining all their goals.
  • Some positions run unopposed and just get filled.
  • You can use your advanced online degree in Hogology to blend right in. All it takes is a trip to the local Carhartt store for the right garb.
  • If enough of you band together, you can probably out maneuver the command structure of your local party and start running your people for local positions.

I have no idea what I'm talking about, really. Consider this the ultimate bit, the bit to end all bits. Infiltrate the party from the ground level, outnumber the local leadership, and shrink the Overton window just a smidgen. Nah, this is probably a dumb idea.

Anyway, happy Friday!

Some dipshit who was on our Town Council tried to tell me that Fascism is a "Left-Wing Construct". These guys are laughable. This was because I told him his fetish for wanting the pledge said before council meetings was a fascist purity test.

Our town is pretty progressive, but we still have our hogs about. Was getting tired of seeing them post with impunity on the timeline. I think I might have given some people the courage to also pile on as well, because I've noticed some more aggressive counter talk from people on the page when these idiots slither out of their nest.

The amount of times I would read a paragraph and think "if this was written today, it would still be true" was to damn high. Especially the entire last chapter.

I have ADHD, I think it's possible I had some other form of reading disability when I was younger, but I'm not sure. Just a hunch, my therapist has. One thing I do all the time, that really slows me down, is subvocalizing. If I'm not subvocalizing, I feel like my retention and comprehension are almost nonexistent. For easier literature, it's not a big deal, but wanting to read more theory, I find myself struggling.

I think, according to some reading tests I was taking today, I read at about 144 wpm which isn't great. That's me mostly subvocalizing. If I stop, I can get to 270, but my retention and comprehension goes down quite a bit.

Any advice, tools, websites, services, you might be aware of that can help me unlearn a lifetime of bad reading habits? Everyone wants to sell you a tool or service for STEM shit, but when you're looking for adult assistance with reading, all I seem to be finding is stuff for Elementary and Middle School level reading.

  • border wall
  • title 42
  • Cuba

I know the list probably longer, help me out.

I've been getting a big vibe recently that Ethan has found his way into deep left water by association. He didn't get there through self reflection and education like most people do. The socialism episode of leftovers recently felt so disingenuous, and even hasan at times looked like he was bamboozled.

His crew is clearly more left than him. He isn't educated on his own political beliefs. He doesn't have a political framework to process reality through. He's just a reactionary with a lexicon of leftist shibboleths he can say to prime his audience with before saying totally reactionary shit.

His comments post Oct 7 are all the evidence you need. You can't defend his words by saying "he has a personal connection there." There are plenty of leftist in Israel who are more capable of empathy and reason. He grew up in America. He has been primed by 9/11 in the same way we all were. He lived there for five years. I can at least reason with Hila's experience, growing up in the colonel core, and their education system.

It just seems evident to me that his education stopped at some point and he never looked back, and now he's stuck surrounded by far more intelligent people.

Alright folks, time to get into the Taiwan flag business 📈 . I have a feeling the market is about to grow, anyone invested in Ukraine flags still is a fool! 📉

Lol man, every women I know has a story about being sexualized by an adult man when they were a child. Every, single, one. None of these men were considering wether it was the time and the place to shatter their innocence. That seems like more of a real threat then the "ideologies" of the Barbie movie.

I love how the Spector seems to imply an evil in the heads of most Normans. I see it in my friends group and I will admit I had heard the line in the past and thought the same. Then I decided to actually read instead of parrot and realized it's a Spector in the same literary sense as the Spectors from A Christmas Carol that haunt Ebenezer Scrooge.

The Spector of Communism exposes the world to the material realities of it's past and present, which lay the stones that lead to the grim shadows of a future yet to come. Shadows, dear reader, that we might change by leading an altered life.
