I agree this is useful info hypotheticallly and honestly I love learning about camos. I hope this will never be relevant, but I'll make this information readily available if it comes to it

We love our fucking acronyms

Maybe get in the habit of calling it by it's full name initially. Then it seems like an unfortunate acronym instead of a software made by perverts. Note I'm fairly certain most software is made by perverts, and I'm including myself in that group.

I think it's more important to focus on patterns that disrupt AI/automated image recognition software vs what blends in with your natural environment. The current fight is in the streets not the woods in my opinion. I feel dazzle camo that has historically been used on ships would be good for fucking up facial recognition tech.

At least she's real unlike the hotties desperate for sex in my local area.

I'll give that hot take from Mark Ruffalo, 5 Mark Ruffalos!

As a person that rarely interacta with kids, but also have friends that aren't really gamers I think I can give some relatively useful anecdotal advice.

It really depends on the person, their age, if you're in a group or one on one, and skill level. If I'm in a group I tend to go for the me vs everyone else role. So everyone combined can still beat me. If it's one vs one then I try to go easy or just look for some way we can play co-op instead competitive, if they're not that skilled or not competitive.

Oh for sure needs a human in the loop. I was just thinking of why this system would have more scrutiny by default.

[–] chickenf622@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago (2 children)

I would trust the output of an automated system (excluding AI) more than the output of a human, so the difference in scrutiny makes sense. Although I'm not sure how good the automated system is, so I can't say definitively that's the case.

And that's now named Stoat FYI.

I'm willing to bet if these are his accounts there probably some service he paid for to pad his stats like Musk did with PoE. That service is still getting money for it somehow so they're still actively working in that account.

Honestly your wife is probably feeling the same way, I don't know you nor your wife, so the final decision is yours. Maybe ask her how she is feeling about this whole process and anything that she needs to vent about. I imagine if you're feeling the same or in a similar way it will be validating for her feelings as well.

If you end up going the adoption route it's very important to have a discussion on all the details to make sure you're both on the same page. It's a huge life change and you can't just deal with it for the rest of your life. I hope for the best outcome for you. This shit is hard and there's no one "right" answer.

Looking to build a collection that I just outright own, so any streaming platform that doesn't allow me to download the raw files is a no go. Other than the big players (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) what are some good sources for buying?

It's been ages since I've really done some deal hunting online with how ubiquitious Amazon is I've realized I'm not up to date with the current ecosystem for finding trustworthy online storefronts. Do you have any sources/tips for finding good quality products (especially with all the AI slop that exists nowadays)?

Always the first thing I turn off, but surely there are some people out there that actually like it. If you're one of those people is there a particular reason?

Feeling like I'm spending too much time doing nothing, and I know the mobile app for Lemmy on my phone is a huge part of this. Has anyone else tried removing Lemmy apps from their phone to cut down? Any unexpected consequences you have noticed?

I really want to be able to enjoy myself regardless of how drunk I am, but I do like the variety of flavors when it comes to drinks. Do you guys have any suggestions for NA/low alcohol drinks?
