Since you've studied AI for so long, can you explain where further rapid progress is supposed to come from? Cause right now I don't see any improvements in output quality in the past year, and LLMs have already used up all available training data, compute and energy.
The web is now poisoned with AI content which doesn't work as training data.

Der Ukraine-Krieg wird zu einem Guerilla-Krieg nachdem die USA ihre militärische Unterstützung beenden.

To make food hotter fasterer.
My induction stove is actually insane.
It can get a gallon of water boiling in 2 minutes (11kW power).

In Germany we have 230V for normal appliances and 400V for stoves.

I still think we should do a calendar reform to get 12 months of 30 days each.
360 days total.
The remaining 5 days of the year have no name and aren't part of any month.

I'm German. I've had 40 hours of first aid education total in my life, and I work in IT.
One course in school, one as part of driver's education, one for my first job in food delivery, and one while volunteering at a youth center.

I'm guessing seeing one of these was the starting point for this cartoon.
Also wouldn't surprise me if he threw in 1-2 types that don't exist.

So if I sort lemmy comments by new and hide the vote count, it ceases being social media?
I don't think that's where I'd put the dividing line.
Forums are definitely social media. They just predate the term's widespread use.

Please tell me what distro you use so I know whether to agree with or hate you.

He's already inside him in the last panel.

I'm not woke enough to see it.

Edit:
Probably a coincidence. It's the price you get if you apply a 0.8% discount to $15, which is probably how Walmart arrived at it.

I've spent considerable time configuring my Linux system (1) and I would like to have the exact same system on another PC (2).
What would be the best way to do that?
Hardware on (2) is different, but tested compatible with the kernel.
(2) has a smaller drive size, so simply dd'ing the entire drive from a live USB won't work.

Here's what I'm planning:

  • install same distro on (2), using the same username as on (1)
  • create a list of installed packages on (1)
  • install same packages on (2) using the package manager
  • copy /home and /etc from (1) to an external EXT4 drive
  • boot (2) from a live USB and mount the external drive
  • delete /home and /etc on (2), then copy them over from (1)

Will this cause permission issues? Is there a quicker way?

Das ist übrigens die einzige Verbindung zwischen Ortschaften mit zusammen 16000 Einwohnern und der benachbarten Stadt Wiesloch, außer einer sehr hügeligen Landstraße mit Tempo 100 und Berufsverkehr.
