It's a bit daft to ignore how fundamentally disproportionate AI's current contribution is relative to its energy cost and global impact.
Especially the irony that they're ruining the environment in an attempt to replace human jobs with AI.
It's a double "fuck you" to the working/middle class.
You could say that for so many things in our comfy western world.
That makes precisely ZERO of it OK.
Maybe, but then it also makes it hypocritical as fuck.
Being right and good is far, far, FAR better than the simple act of not being a hypocrite...
