badposting
badposting is a comm where you post badly
This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.
Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?
Rules:
- Do not post good posts.
- Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
- Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
- This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
- This rule intentionally left blank.
- If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.
Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

If he did I'd consider listening again, enjoyed learning about how bad capitalist corner cutting actually was, but couldn't stand the constant anticommunist sniping.
but seriously, i dont understand what they're doing. do people actually like having the content interrupted by absolutely dogshit inane giggling and irrelevant idiocy? why keep the distraction people on the pod?
It didn't used to be this bad. I don't know which episode started the change but they used to be better at keeping on target with some small tangents. I think once the big Patreon money started coming in and Liam fully embraced being a mooch is when things started going wrong
He's basically admitted he treats the podcast as a way to hang out and drink with distant friends while getting paid
I think I decided I was probably done with the AzovSomething episode. I thought I'd listen to one or two more to see if it was a one off and it felt like every episode after that they said some
shit
Feels like it tbh, like having AzovSomething on gave Liam and Nova the freedom to fully embrace being anticommunist slobber uranium types
The pod would sincerely be better if it was just Rocz and Gareth, and both Liam and Nova were dropped. Which sucks because November is a good host when she's forced to not get political (like with KJB)
Funnily Nova has said she regrets that episode.
I mean, goals.
It all started going downhill in like episode 2 when Liam joined the podcast and had nothing to contribute.
Honesty, has he ever actually researched an episode? Roz and Nova both have.
I believe he did with a limo crash somewhere in the US but other than that no, he fully freeloads off his cohosts
He's done several bonus episodes and did a really moving one on college football.
I think the appeal of content like WTYP is that it mixed interesting information with goofy humor.
well yeeeeees, but i dont remember any humor. just goof.
Idk, I still listen to the Vulcan Bridge Disaster ep sometimes cuz I like all the jokes about Communist West Virginia.
I think the best way to listen to WTYP is basically background noise where you might learn something on the topic and then occasionally the bits that they knock out of the fucking park like Communist West Virginia or the Chapo Trap House of Sauud.
Some episodes are also gold entirely, like the one on John Forrester or the V-22 Osprey
