Go figure a planned economy is more efficient than a chaos economy

[–] MamaVomit@hexbear.net 44 points 6 months ago (5 children)

we need a better term than chaos economy because that sounds cool as hell

[–] MolotovHalfEmpty@hexbear.net 29 points 6 months ago

Clusterfuck Economy or Clusterfuckonomy?

[–] snek_boi@lemmy.ml 24 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

I kinda like chaos economy versus planned economy. It’s a good frame, I’d argue. Regardless, blind economy versus foreseeing economy?

Edit: I thought closed-eyes economy versus open-eyes economy could also work.

Ponzi economy versus cooperative/common economy

Ponzi versus planned seems like the best slogan

[–] miz@hexbear.net 24 points 6 months ago

Lenin called it anarchy of production

[–] culpritus@hexbear.net 14 points 6 months ago

white noise machine

[–] Cimbazarov@hexbear.net 14 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I mean it's just the "free market" init? I've always liked the term anarchy of production

[–] Tabitha@hexbear.net 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

The market is free, you are not.

[–] Collatz_problem@hexbear.net 4 points 6 months ago

back-to-me Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 31 points 6 months ago

lenin-sure anarchy of production

[–] neo@hexbear.net 31 points 6 months ago (1 children)

It’s more than just chaos because in many ways this is deliberate self-sabotage directed from the top executive levels. Like trying to stop the spread of a wildfire by building wooden palisades to contain it.

I don't think this is a matter of planned vs unplanned, or that we should be focusing on it. The Chinese economy is a market one, with a very strong State presence in key sectors.

The real highlight we need to be making is communist vs capitalist economy. Comrade Indrajit has a pretty good write-up on the same topic here. While I don't always agree with his takes I'm always inspired by his way of communicating clear and principled positions without fear or prevarication.

The only thing America leads on is GDP, which measures its corruption, debt, healthfraud, and constant self-stimulation as positives (which they are not).

China, the communist country, preserves the rational spirit of capitalism while America, the capitalist country, subsidizes one clown car.

(Congress is just an insider trading club now)

China produces cheap, functional EVs and not luxury virtue signalling devices. China produces cheap, efficient AI and not luxury investment vehicles.

America effectively arrived on central planning without planning. A cartel of banks just moves interest rates around, and the government gives them free money to do it. It's all centrally controlled, but without a brainwave among them.

[The "Open" in] OpenAI is just a branding term, but DeepSeek is actually doing it.

Communism has a purpose beyond profit and the economy can be directed for some human (or ideally natural) purpose. Capitalism has no purpose beyond profit, and just removed into fraud.

Oops all bangers

China has shut down the luxury and the busty body. How will our boy live?

[–] TankieTanuki@hexbear.net 11 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

I don't think this is the way Marxists normally use those terms; I'm confused. No nation has ever reached (full) communism.

[–] nohaybanda@hexbear.net 8 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Maybe, but I don't think that we should be shy about using the word communism when the capitalist West is so obviously shitting itself to death for all to see. communism-will-win They already call the mildest succdem reforms communism, might as well own the Ws

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 11 points 6 months ago

If somebody decides to look up communism because capitalists decide to decry all regulations as communism and somebody goes "actually botulism sucks, I wonder if there's something to this communism stuff" that's definitely a win for us.

[–] Biggay@hexbear.net 9 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Our economy is planned, its just planned by morons.

[–] ICEMAN@hexbear.net 3 points 6 months ago

We had planned to have infinite growth this quarter, but we have only seen 5%, so we are laying of 2500 people, inflate our prices again and we'll be doing payday loans for stock buybacks. Also the salary of a 1000 of those fired of is going to the CEO.
