Why are libs joining ml
It's Bleeding Kansas again. Movers are coming into lemmy.ml, either for or against the West.
Time to follow John Brown's example and give them a Pottawatomie welcome party
It is the oldest Lemmy instance, it is widely federated, and it isn't a "freeze peach" shit hole. It is the most "defaulty" option, especially for people who aren't familiar with the Fediverse.
The joinlemmy instance recommender also dropped lemmy.world sometime ago and lemmy.ml is one of the more active general instances for new waves to join.
Why did they drop it?
to avoid centralization in a single instance
Ah, nice
They think its the default instance, like mastodon.social on mastodon.
