AFAIK, soy is a complete protein, and nearly all beans form compete proteins with rice.
I'd be careful with that statement without a citation. Beans and rice is famously a complete AA profile, but vegans also famously need B12 supplemented unless you are deliberately eating specific foods.

Unsolicited anti-vegan concern trolling. This isn't a question about B-12, which is an easy supplement to do. Where do you think your pigs and chickens get their B-12? Yes, the same supplements.
I apologize. I didn't mean to be anti-vegan. I was trying to be helpful and offer an answer to the question that was being posed.
Edit: Oh fuck I see what I did. B12 is related but uninvovled with the amino acid profile. I'm trolling.
It's cool. I really appreciate the response. Sorry if I was a bit harsh, vegans get the "oh you can't be vegan because X" thing several times a week, and the previous comment about not being able to do just beans upped my adrenaline a bit.
Anyhow, thanks for making this best community on the internet. Really.
Thank you!
It's a little more complex than that. Even as a complete protein, soy may not have enough of certain amino acids for muscle building. It's better to have too much than not enough.
