True.
I was dealing with this a year+ ago, my partner gained a few kilos and was upset about it. I Googled how to support her and make her feel better, and everything on Reddit and Quora was "I don't love my wife now, how do I give her an eating disorder".
God I'm hella glad I don't date men.
At the risk of sounding patronizing; I'm glad there are people out there that support each other instead of tearing each other down. We need more of that in this world.
I want to say, when you have someone who's always been in your corner and always will, not nitpicking them over stupid shit and saying a few things to lift them up is the most uber selfish thing possible. I say this as a guy who's not always been the most perfect boyfriend in past relationships, being a dickhead comes back to bite you. Maybe some younger guy here will see it.
Don't worry male friendships can do that to you as well.
