Why is it all the most Nazi looking runes that aren't even from the same alphabet?
People that are into paganism for none Nazi reasons (if that's possible) should be really weary of that.
Like, spell out a word or something, if you want to come across as genuinely interested in that culture.
Of course none of that matters because neopaganism is all Naziism.
I would argue rather that the aesthetics of paganism have been coopted by Nazis--especially the Nordic avenues (less so the Celtic).
Paganism, and Wicca in particular, attracts also countercultural types who seek a greater connection to the Earth than their capitalist alienation provides. These are the folks who might grow a small garden or herb planter at home, who take a moment of reflection on a solstice, or who choose veganism for animal welfare/ecological reasons.
Yes, there is a "crunchy to fascist pipeline". Yes, Nordic runes in particular have been a dog whistle for fascists for decades. But there are also misfits, outcasts, and Renaissance Faire nerds who are otherwise agnostic/atheist and find spirituality in communion with nature, and so call themselves pagans or Wiccans.
Yeah, I get the appeal. I was just still kinda mad at all the Nazis.
I guess MCU is pretty Pagan as well.
I wish it was more pagan
Not sure how it could be more pagan. The modern heroes are basically part of a pantheon as well.
I was pagan for a short while. Started out looking to witchcraft to gain a semblance of control over my life and stayed for the connection to nature. I tried to keep parts of each of those, but I don't find myself leaving sacrifices to nature gods anymore. And not, like, full-on witchcraft anymore, but the mindfulness, meditation, and appreciation for life in all its manifestations. Sometimes when psychosis kicks in, I fall back into magic, but then it's more often hermeticism and ritual magic.

My old norse is real, real rusty, and I haven't read runes since primary school but uhh. Is this just transliterating the word "Solar" and then the word endir (Which iirc means "End")? What's the joke, I don't get it. :(
Yup. Sólar, sól in indefinite genitive. Suns end. An attempt at translating the name of the game. There isn't really any joke here. I didn't come up with any joke so I just did the name of the game instead.
Although, I'm not sure if ᛁᚾᛏᛁ ᛋᚬᛚᛅᚱᛁᚾᛅᚱ (endi sólarinnar) might have been more correct. The different grammatical cases are not my strong suite.

That's right there's a game involved. I was wondering if it was some sort of joke about butts. My brain is fried, it is no good.
What is your runic?

I tried to write "Pig poop balls" but I absolutely fucked it up, because while I knew the word for "Pig" that was the only word I knew, and I'm still pretty sure I wrote it wrong
