We've been on a run of stupid/evil since Thatcher. Sometimes evil edges ahead (Thatcher, Blair) sometimes stupid (Truss, Cameron, Boris, Sunak). Of course, if we take full leave of our senses and elect a Reform government in a few years, we can have both at the same time.
