Also I like it couldn't even come up with someone for Egypt to disagree with, just them claiming land against Christianity itself. The land that the Egyptians have inhabited for thousands of years

It's a little more specific, because this particular cross is usually used to represent Coptic christianity, but Copts is one of historical names for Egyptians anyway.

Conquerors come and go but the people stay, fascists see society as discrete things and not like grand tapestries that weave over centuries. Fucking Bible studies ass understanding of the world. “Then the Zoomphites displaced the Gooninites and slew them all” meanwhile the dna from the entire region is 99% the same and there might not have been any Gooninites or Zoomphites or any of that horseshit in reality.

Like in this specific example of Egypt it’s maybe the funniest because we found an ancient Egyptian guy’s DNA and it turns out he just matches the region, with more from Mesopotamia than anticipated, probably because people migrated a lot more, which also refutes the fascist conception of human societies as discrete little pods
