Yeah it's not like the current drunk of war didn't repeatedly say he was removing all constraints on the military so they could take Iran out nice and quick. How'd that go for them? They seem to only be able to kill civilians or diplomats meeting to discuss ceasefires.

Americans love the line "they're about to figure out why america doesn't thave healthcare". But then they just learn their military is equally as badly funded and operates, and the only one benefitting is military weapons producers.

I don't know that the US military is badly funded. Then and cops seem to be the ones who get all the money. It's just that that doesn't stop them from being incompetent and best and thirsty for civilian blood at most likely.

The military isn't badly funded, but no amount of funding in the world can make up for incompetent management, and, when your livelihood consists of telling your superiors exactly what they want to hear or you are demoted/fired, then there is no incentive to ever tell management about bad things, so it appears that incompetent managers have everything going well for them, when in fact, it is just that they are not actually reporting issues because their subordinates know better than to report issues to them, and everything slowly but surely grinds on until you actually have to produce a product (in this case, win a war), and suddenly wtf we can't actually win this war?

Shit like this is exactly why the Red Army had officer purges prior to WWII, because even though it may have cost them some level of expertise at the start of WWII, it wasn't reporting problems that got you in trouble with the Kremlin, it was when your subordinates had to go around to report issues to the Kremlin.
