I am not going to sing the praises of the US, but I think its true that the Untied SSnaKKMeSS of Imperialism does at least have principles to which it can pretend. The US state has never actually cared about those principles, but they exist in the sense that they can be used a propaganda tools and they are written on stuff.

Israel doesn't even have that. It was always a naked grab for power and land.

This isn't true, "Israel" did the same thing. "We made the desert bloom" is not different from "we tamed the wilderness". It's just that the mask slips when you're actively and obviously doing genocide.
