You assume he's not intentionally picking his words in order to manipulate his base for his own political benefit.
I guess you're referring to me using the word "stupid." But I am referring to the sentiment that he's expressing. It's not only wrong. It's just so obviously wrong that... let's say the average middle schooler should be able to see through it. It's just stupid.
Ah, I see what you mean now. Sadly, a significant chunk of Americans are all too willing to let a demagogue do the thinking for them.
