This is in response to me basically saying bickering over what to do with the state right now is pointless given how far away we are from ending capitalism in the imperial core. I think this was a thread from like 2 weeks ago, I legit thought my comments would be lost in the ether but apparently not lmao.
Perhaps I just misread (and if so, I apologize), the metaphor just seemed to be placing the masses in the position of children who need to be penned in until such a time as those with authority over them have deemed them properly educated. Maybe I didn't follow your intended meaning.
A vanguard certainly must seek to educate people by means of agitation no matter what the people think, but it can't presume authority over them except to the degree that there is ongoing consent on the part of the people for the vanguard to represent their interests.
