On one of the no kings protests, I saw a group of dudes going to it on bicycles. They had the right idea. No license plates, less data to track.
A lot of us don't mask up for peaceful protests. It hits home better if they see our faces in smaller cities.
If this is what gets people into a database - protesting fascism and filming it - then sign me up. What a fucking honor.
Bikes, masked and no cell phones. Don't give them anything.
The last one, leave your cellphones at home. Don't turn them off, leave them at home. Don't turn them off and bring them. Leave them at home.
What
Leave your cellphone at home. THey can track it, confiscate it at protests. Don't turn it off and take it to one, they can get a warrant to get information from a carrier to know where and when it was turned off to use it against you. Leave it at home, turned on so it looks like normal behavior. Cellphones are narcs.
Put it on top of a Roomba and schedule a bunch of short cleaning sessions to simulate walking around in your home.
Would uncanny valley makeup work? I want to stare at counter protestors
Dazzle camouflage would probably work better against AI and facial recognition. Highly reflective clothing would probably also work.
Adversarial patterns
Reflective clothing on a bike is actually a pretty good safety tip for riding after dark
SIR YOU ARE RIDING A WEAPON
Buy ebike/escooter. Drive and park 5-10 miles from where you want to go, and ride the rest of the way in. FLOCK cameras are everyfuckingwhere.
That should be move number one when gathering, immediately cut all those fuckers down. It should be a weekly occurrence until the cost outweighs putting them back up
Vandalizing would be much simpler, and depending upon methods it can have potential to damage the device, like if a block of ice suddenly falls on it or someone accidentally shoots a frozen paintball over their fenced yard. Sometimes these things just happen to happen.
Happy little accidents
