Seems so silly I'm hindsight, but it struck a nerve at the time:
Three of the biggest hit films of 1999: The Matrix, Fight Club, and American Beauty. The inciting incident in all three was, "Man, life is kind of boring..."
I fucking wish that was my problem.
I still believe that's the reason many people voted for Dubya. Gore was dependable but boring. Dubya was entertaining.
What's something that ages much worse than milk?
Meat.
