Not even about the racism right now, imagine being anti-rat. Couldn’t be me. Rats are so sweet and so smart.
In fact I need to go to work right now where I’m going to put adorable rats into boxes with touchscreens where some of them will have to decide how much an image looks like Ru Paul. That is not a joke.

Lions are also just objectively terrible. Everything you can learn about lion behavior makes them worse.

Female lions can't get pregnant while they have cubs, so when a new male takes over a pride, he'll kill all the existing cubs first, then have sex with the females. Sometimes they try to hide their cubs to prevent this.
Hyenas have a higher hunting success rate than lions and lions scavenge more often from hyenas than the other way around. Yet somehow documentaries perpetuate the belief that cowardly hyenas steal food from the noble lions.

I want rats but find the short lifespan upsetting. Also, the snake will probably resent the smell.
Yeah rats are some of the best pets, each with their own little personality. The short lifespan is so sad every time.
