A woman so awful that after meeting her, the queen literally died.
Can she meet Donnie next?
🤞
Ms Truss was speaking ahead of the publication of her book - her account of her time in Number 10.
More a pamphlet really.
How to care for lettuce.
Is this a reference to something. I foofled it but no light was shed.
From the context I presume it is a way of saying it's a book no one would read, but is there more to it?
A newspaper had a webcam on a fresh head of lettuce. They wondered which would last longer. The lettuce or Liz Truss as PM. The lettuce won.
Ha Thank you very much.
Why on earth are we still paying attention to this idiot and treating her opinions as if they are worthy of consideration?
Because she was UK pm. It is a reminder of what kind of standards, or rather lack thereof, the office has.
Because that is what our media landscape has degenerated into.
She's doing the media rounds because her book about her 49 days as PM is released. Apparently almost everything, including causing everyone's mortgage to sharply rise, wasn't her fault.
The 'world was safer' argument is an especially bizarre one to make this week, of all weeks, when the Middle East is 'on the cusp' of a wider conflict that was partly caused by Donald Trump's unilateral withdrawal from a treaty with Iran. And Trump also inflamed tensions in that same region by moving the US' Israeli Embassy to Jersualem. As to conflict in 'the West' specifically, he also endorsed and continues to endorse the very people pushing the West towards conflict, and himself caused violent conflict in the US, which was part of 'the West' last time I checked.
Not just the withdrawal, but also the assassination of a Revolutionary Guards general, which Iran themselves said was why they staged October 7 as an act of revenge.
You think you know how dumb someone is, but they can always surprise you.
She's just a footnote. At best.
And a god tier trivia question in 20 years. Who was prime Minister when the queen died?
That or which 'Prime Minister was outlasted by a lettuce?'
I just love she took the record of shortest serving prime minister from a guy who was already had the pneumonia that would kill him when he took office.
I doubt anyone in the us has any idea who she is. Especially Trump followers
Many of us pay attention to world events. And I was cheering on the Lettuce!
FYI Mz Truss, the Head Of Lettuce endorsed Biden. And Mr Lettuce lasted longer than you. Your "best by" date has passed!
Quick, someone ask the lettuce their opinion! We need an experienced post-holder as a counter point!
Liz who?
Narcissist losers of a feather, flock together.
Considering how her month long stint as PM went, I fully welcome her endorsement of Trump
Hope he dies and she endorses Biden. Best ending.
Her endorsement is meaningless because she's a political irrelevancy with less political foresight than a tin of sardines.
May as well cancel the election now that it’s a forgone conclusion.
Of course she does. How was this woman ever Prime Minister? Even for a moment?
and the West is "on the cusp" of conflict.> Partly because the orange idiot sucked up to them.
I know it's not a black and white case but he certainly didn't help, and still isn't.
Deranged woman.
Ah, so we're lowering bars today.
She can speak???
Sunik seems just as bad if not worse. Can any Brits elaborate on what it's like under him?
Truss was damaging the economy. This one's just utterly useless and keeps putting his foot in it. But he hasn't crashed the economy so that's a plus.
But he just bows down to the hard right, so even if he himself isn't hard right. So he is still pretty awful.
There is a reason no one likes him. He's completely useless so both the right and the left get irritated by him.
