Friend has a pile of old unusable FDM prints and I decided to do a low stress one off paintjob with some craft paint and see how it came out.

Yeah, he has a 40k Ork army and wanted to use these as grot tanks. Since then he's gotten a resin printer, so a lot of his old prints like this one got tossed into a bin.
