Yeah! That's Tampon Tim! How dare he provide tampons to kids for free? Back in mah day they'd be lucky to have lint wrapped around wood!

[–] grysbok 16 points 10 months ago (1 children)

My classmates just used unholy amounts of toilet paper, like the almighty intended.

Ugh. MacGyvering a pad out of shitty school-issue single-ply TP is a rite of passage that I really hope we can do away with. Free menstrual products in schools would've been amazing when I was a kid!

[–] grysbok 5 points 10 months ago

... then going to gym class and having the PE teacher mock you for not doing laps fast enough while you're worrying about your "pad" either chafing or going on walkabout...

[–] Vittelius@feddit.org 3 points 10 months ago

Who else do you call to stop a red wave if not Tampon Tim!?

[–] dditty@lemm.ee 17 points 10 months ago

Can attest - when I met Tim, it was at one of our teachers union meetings. Good guy. He was honest and respectful when I asked him a kinda tough policy question

Gun control is a right wing position and gun freedom is a left wing position. Ronald Reagan signed gun control laws in California into effect because the Black Panthers had guns.

They call Kamala a liberal, so I’m gonna say we’re all good on that front

[–] BluesF@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

A vote for Bart is a vote for Anarchy!

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Republicans should really hammer these messages. Free campaigning

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago (1 children)

They are on it. They're calling him "Tampon Tim" to remind people he helped provide sanitary products for children in schools.

Preettyyy dope!

[–] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

what a commie!

[–] NineMileTower@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago (5 children)

Tim Walz is great, but when Harris supporters turn on him and try to hang him, it's going to suck for him.

[–] gibmiser@lemmy.world 65 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Woah, that sounds really weird. That's not a normal thing is it?

[–] NineMileTower@lemmy.world 37 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I only vote for presidents who have their followers commit treason.

[–] snooggums@midwest.social 19 points 10 months ago

I like presidents that don't have felony convictions!

[–] snooggums@midwest.social 48 points 10 months ago (2 children)

It looks like you stumbled right into Poe's Law.

[–] snooggums@midwest.social 16 points 10 months ago

Never give up, never surrender!

[–] MetaCubed@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I'll admit, if it wasnt for this, and the other comments, I'd have been Poe's Law'd

[–] snooggums@midwest.social 8 points 10 months ago

Yeah, I fell for it on the first reading and was glad there were enough comments to drive home the humor.

[–] glizzard@lemmy.ca 3 points 10 months ago

It was the nonchalance of “gonna suck” that got me

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 19 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Totally normal thing for supporters to do, surely Walz would back Harris again in the following election.

It's happened to every Republican vice-president after 2008.

[–] bamboo@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 10 months ago

It's also happened to every vice-president ever whose last name rhymes with dense

[–] QuantumSparkles@sh.itjust.works 11 points 10 months ago

You almost had me I’ll admit. I’m guessing most of the downvotes got had
