This just makes me think of all nouns in English should just have equivalent singulars and plurals its easier to make sense of b cause you have to mention a specific amount
Honestly that would make life easier. Let's get rid of the a/an distinction for nouns too while we're at it
i mean, Oreos don't sound weird. Usually the words which are same both singular and plural are words which sound weird eg. Bourgeois. There are exceptions ofc cuz English is weird.
Fish is supposed to be both singular/plural yet people do use fishes to indicate multiple fish.
