After listening to the latest chapo ep I am fully supportive of AI Slop.
AI Slop:
- destroys social media
- delegitimizes the scam driven tech industry
- generates interesting things to stimulate conversation, like shrimp Jesus or the homer Simpson concert videos
- transfers wealth from big social media companies and their shareholders to the global south in the form of direct subsidies
- eventually will lead to the renaissance of smaller spaces online as platforms that get too big will be targeted by monetization schemes
All uncritical support to the machine. People decry the death of the Internet, but this is actually a good thing. The good parts of the Internet should survive unscathed since there is no money to be made here.
