I suppose that's a good thing, even if his reasoning is full of brainworms ? At least this guy claims that he'll use his power to resist it instead of the typical liberal response of happily supporting the deportation.

(I must admit I haven't read the whole article, I tried but my brain is refusing to parse the words, sorry)

It's at moments like this that critical support applies

So desperate to shield Nazism that even the most overt Nazi policy is somehow something else

Calling American fascism done by Americans in America "Like tiny man square" aside, he thinks the COPS are gonna stop them? Most hogs in most cities have embedded ICE agents not to mention their own politics.

It's the moment liberal elected officials will realize that holding a title and wielding power are two different things.

before: "political power flows from the taps in the executive washroom"

after: mao-shining

It's like the Tiananmen Square moment with the rose and the gun, right?

Folks, I present to you: The History Understander.

The famous photo of the girl giving a flower to a soldier happened in the US, at the Pentagon; not China. And it was a chrysanthemum; Guns and Roses is a band that your grandpa really likes.

Anyway, I remember that time when the military swooped in on a protest and murdered a bunch of unarmed civilians (CW: photo of a dead body in article). Only a truly evil government would order their soldiers to do something like that.

Only a truly evil government

Hey now, let's not discount the people who, being polled, blamed the protesters.

There is no positive way forward for the United States that doesn’t involve large scale forced re-education

Or that time it happened again like a week later, but it wasn't white kids so it didn't become a cultural touchstone that everyone remembers

So :xigma-male: will be president in 2044?

the biggest question is if the cops will comply or get angry and overthrow him

[–] sovietknuckles@hexbear.net 26 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

They'll claim to comply but intentionally do a shitty job and allow all the deportations to take place, which means they need more training

I accidentally clicked on your username and got jumpscared by your banner photo

[–] CredibleBattery@hexbear.net 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

sorry about that, i thought it was funny a year ago with the whole federation/de-federation thing.

back then there were professional liberals trawling profiles looking for owns, so i went ''...heh'' and came up with the idea to jumpscare them

There are already a lot of localities where the local police are forbidden from cooperating with ICE and afaik it’s mostly successful

[–] Bureaucrat@hexbear.net 4 points 3 months ago

Denver cops are too lazy to overthrow anyone. It takes them around 5 minutes to respond to a school shooting threat three blocks away from the station.

Ed Norton is a mayor?

Wait are we, orientals?
