Summary

Trump claimed Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum agreed to “stop Migration through Mexico” after a call, declaring it a win for U.S. border security.

Sheinbaum quickly refuted this, stating Mexico opposes closing borders and prioritizes collaboration.

The exchange drew mockery online, with critics comparing it to Trump’s past unfulfilled claim that Mexico would pay for a border wall.

Social media users ridiculed Trump for exaggerating the conversation’s outcome and manufacturing a crisis with Mexico over proposed tariffs he’s vowed to implement upon taking office.

Fuck the formalities—all world leaders need to shit on him on the record. He needs to be embarrassed hard. Maybe he’ll get so pissed off that he shits himself and gives up the ghost.

They need to do it so hard that Magats realize he's the laughing stock of the world. Imagine a world in which American news couldn't avoid running stories about how world leaders literally shun Trump. Would we abandon the entire world order? or would the American Oligarchs demand the 25th Amendment be used?

He was laughed at at the UN

His reaction? "No they didn't", his cult believed his word over their own lying eyes.

[-] Maggoty@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago

Oh they may have said they believed him. But they knew. And being a one time incident it's easy to dismiss.

[-] Piatro@programming.dev 10 points 6 days ago

Honestly I think it would play into the "Trump is fighting the elites" narrative far too well, and would probably be celebrated. "America is so great we don't even need those other countries, how dare they insult our President for life?"

[-] Maggoty@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago

Nah, Americans hate weakness. Just straight up dunking on him whenever they have to talk about America would work.

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

[-] adespoton@lemmy.ca 2 points 5 days ago

They just need to point how weird he is and how he seems to lack energy.

[-] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 3 points 5 days ago

they will do that the moment he stops being president. just like Nixon and Bush.

[-] scarabine@lemmynsfw.com 98 points 6 days ago

I’m already tired of these “Trump mocked / slammed / blasted / whatever” posts. My God the coming years will be insufferable

[-] masterbaexunn@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago

One morning well wake up to his obituary

[-] Default_Defect@midwest.social 8 points 5 days ago

At this point I can't even take that for granted.

[-] GraniteM@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

I wouldn't even be surprised.

[-] laurelraven@lemmy.zip 11 points 6 days ago

You mean like the last 8+ years?

Yeah ... Was really hoping we were coming to a close on that but here we are

[-] GladiusB@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

He looks like he has aged and lost weight. Which might be better for his longevity.

[-] laurelraven@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 days ago

Doesn't he look tired to you?

[-] GladiusB@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

All the time. His hair looks thin as hell too.

[-] Archer@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago

“Eviscerated” will be coming back. Why.

[-] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 23 points 6 days ago

I hope Sheinbaum humiliates him.

[-] WraithGear@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago
