Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

Skill issue. Install gentoo
1100 for a dell laptop that's doesn't even come with a Windows license is extremely steep though, especially for 16 years ago.

expected this to be Canonical getting on someone's case for IP stuff, not just someone buying the wrong computer XD
In the modern day, this feels like satire, but for the time I'd imagine Ubuntu was not as easy to use, and courses would also tell you junk like "This document must be done in Word" and require an .xlsx file or something, complaining that the formatting will get messed up if you use another format (PDF isn't goo enough for some reason).
