Police and prosecutors seek to arrest and convict someone. Whether that person is actually the perpetrator of any crime is not relevant.
Any day the police want to talk to you is a good day to shut the fuck up.

Aw shucks, wasn’t aware.
It’s a bummer, for sure. I used to love his irate New Yorker videos. He’d bitch about anything and get a laugh out of me. Once he started speaking out against protests I dropped him like a bad habit.
He was great on Justified.
I kinda miss a time when assholes were just assholes in private.
I like that comments are disabled on that video. Talk about setting an example
That’s great! I never noticed lol
I think if I had an airtight alibi I'd have to talk about that. If the police want to keep you they will keep you either way.
Watch the video in that reply. Seriously. An actual cop (retired) explains in detail why that's a terrible idea.
To your own point - if "they will keep you either way", what does blabbing to them help?
As always, ACAB.
JFC, that kid is probably traumatized. I hope the parents sue the pants off of the police department.
Do NY lawyers take lawsuits on contingency?
The family has both a criminal lawyer and civil lawyer, so they have this sorted either way.
