Also, lol

Big fail on my part, obviously. Don't make the same mistake I did.

As one of the replies said:

But your concern isn't for the lives of third parties that You and FSD endangered.

Stuff like this is why I want cars to be banned. People driving cars are often incosiderate psychopaths and the bigger the car the higher the likelihood becomes.

Hell yes. Bikes, buses (maybe), trains, walkable paths. Efficient planning.

frothingfash fifteen mInUtE CITIES!!!

[–] Hestia@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I feel like Teslas are intentionally designed to be hostile towards such concepts.

[–] Cowbee@hexbear.net 9 points 1 month ago

Hence their self-destructive mission to destroy infrastructure

Well, tbf, American manufacturers encouraged the destruction of public transit and forced us to buy cars, as the only reliable option

and the bigger the car the higher the likelihood becomes.

On the other hand, such a person is :yikes:

These goobers are legitimately paying $100k to test this garbage in production and act like their tweets are bug reports…

I hate this timeline so fucking much dude. Holy shit…

[–] Cimbazarov@hexbear.net 5 points 1 month ago

It wouldn't be so bad I'd they were just endangering themselves, but they're not

[–] dditty@lemm.ee 26 points 1 month ago

I did nothing to stop my new $80K+ vehicle from totalling itself. How can others learn from my mistake?

Idk maybe just by...driving?

It is easy to get complacent now - don’t.

Remember to pay attention while in control of a 4 ton fucking vehicle.

aaaa

This line, and this way of writing, has pissed me off for two days at this point. Who the fuck does he think he is? Does he think he isn’t the person who was criminally negligent here?

[–] nothx@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

Thats exactly what he thinks… so much so that he isn’t even gonna release the dashcam footage because he is scared of people telling him that it was his fault.

A previous tweet from a couple weeks ago.

Sometimes I decide to go somewhere and turn on @Tesla FSD and then I forget where I decided to go and then it starts turning into Taco Bell or whatever and I'm like wtf is it doing and then I'm like oh right Taco BeLL

Clearly s big brain operator here. Can't remember where he wants to go and just let's the truck just do whatever lol. Ohhhh I need taco bell but that thought is too big to hold in my head better fuckin get in my truck before I forget.

Anyway still love the truck

[–] dditty@lemm.ee 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Jfc peoples' attention spans are so short now they can't even remember where they're going!?

[–] TomBombadil@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago

Woooah woah woooahhhh how did I get in this truck who put me here... What the fuck.... Oh taco bell well why not?

Like is that how these people operate?

[–] bleepbloopbop@hexbear.net 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

how many years before we get cars with unskippable ads in them that automatically reroute your self-driving to burger king instead of taco bell if you don't click to opt-out?

[–] fox@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Jeep is introducing pop up ads when the vehicle comes to a stop so step away lathe-of-heaven

[–] ragebutt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 month ago

The jeep one is getting media attention but I’ve been in a newer Subaru that will beg you to subscribe to satellite radio if you’re not already and that was like last year. ads in cars are apparently a thing across some manufacturers already

"I want people to be aware of the risks, but oh noes, someone might point out how this is proof that the technology just isn't there, so I'm just not gonna."

[–] Philosoraptor@hexbear.net 21 points 1 month ago (2 children)

data-laughing

I have family that lives around there, and have driven that road many times when visiting. The road is totally straight, unobstructed, and not at all confusing. The car just plowed off the street for no reason. There's nothing complicated going on.

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 12 points 1 month ago

my god, it has achieved human-like driving

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago

Just last week I saw a driver plow into a divider on a straight and level road with almost no other cars around because they were on their phone. Seems like the Hitlermobile is learning from the cream of the crop.

[–] SmokinStalin@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago
[–] Rom@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago

Still love the truck though.

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

this is in the pantheon of car drivers acting like their potentially insanely deadly fuck ups are like a bit of an oopsie

Hey there friendos, just realized if you flick your AR15 to fully auto that mag only takes 3 seconds to be empty! I was 20 rounds in when my shock at the accidental discharge wore off and I let go of the trigger. Obviously my fault, but learn from my mistakes!

Except somehow that's less stupid because you didn't trust the full-self-operating mechanism that is not, in fact, full-self-operating, to decide not to magdump it's shit infront of an elementary school

not the point but that fucking road is a 45mph zone (except when they activate the flashing beacons then everyone's going to magically listen to the signs and slow down to 15mph)

america is a fucked up place

and the pole he hit is literally the stoplight on the bumpout for kids from the school to cross the street. because of course reducing the crossing distance from 90ft to 70ft solves that problem, nobody would ever speed down a shared center turn lane to bypass traffic
