I don't get it. Putin wants the land, their neutrality, to stop any weapon sales, for them not to join any alliance. And what does Ukraine get, besides eventual second invasion?

Congrats to the EU. With the destabilization of one of it's largest allies it seems the most of the continent is uniting to make up the difference. Seems like Europe as a whole will dominate the next few decades

We have our own unique blend of fascist movements in every country, unfortunately. Right now it's still manageable but it's not all sunshine and rainbows either.

Don't want to get all doomer, I'm very hopeful and proud to be European, but I do want to set realistic expectations. People need to fight the good fight and not rest on their laurels.
