Continuing to give the genocider everything he wanted wasn't going to get him to actually listen to anything you said.

The dangers of trusting a Zionist. Genociding Bibi should never have been given the benefit of the doubt. And in the end, Bibi won by having his favorite outcome on 2024-11-05 realized.

Benefit of the doubt?

Biden and his people had more than a year to figure it out during war crimes/genocide and all the decades before it.

They wanted this. They were merely occupied with the optics of it. Murdering brown people generally has bipartisan support in the US.

Bibi won by having his favorite outcome on 2024-11-05 realized.

I doubt Bibi cared much either way. I mean Trump likely was preferable to Harris, but even with Harris it's not like he'd have faced real pressure to stop the genocide.

The dangers of trusting a Zionist.

Are you not aware that genocide joe is a huge zionist? In fact the vast majority of zionists are christian. Likewise Saudi Arabia has always been closely allied with zionism. None of these creeps are trustable.

Yes, Netenyahus arse was borderline bruised from the tongue "lashing" Biden gave him on a daily basis. And the dems shutting any progressive or muslim voice out of the party, and not allowing anyone of Palestinian descent into the convention was so brave of Biden. A profile of courage.

Biden ... Netanyahu ... Saudi

What do people expect with this disgusting collection of genocidal sleaze?

[–] mlg@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

I said the same thing about Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi negotiating a ceasefire and $50 billion dollar Gaza reconstruction plan as if any of those country governments would spend even a cent on the Palestinians.

Edit: which they did without representation from Gaza

Yeah well, drop site news came out with a report from the Israelis saying that the Biden administration didn't pressure them once.

So glad they worked so hard in office to actually prevent the genocide

Agreed.

It always warms my heart to hear how hard it was for Democrats to actually wield power when they had it, especially when Trump is giving a master class on the possibilities. It reminds me of all those times they asked us to empathize with how hard it is to legislate, conveniently, whenever we asked them to do something about the widespread impoverishment of people and the increasing cost-prohibitive pricing of food staples.

They always, always lean on excuses.

[–] CmdrShepard42@lemm.ee 3 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

Yeah when was the last time you heard the excuse that "we just have to keep arming Israel because of geopolitical alliances?" They sure dropped that one quickly before morphing into blaming individuals for not further supporting it at the ballot box. No criticism for the 15 months of this under Biden. No criticism of the actual fucking Democratic candidates who chose to support this in their campaigns leading up to their entirely predictable losses.

It's just excuse and scapegoat after excuse and scapegoat while they let the world burn around them because it's good for their polling numbers in the next election.
