White folk make up 7.3% of the population in South Africa but own 75% of the land.
In precapitalist preindustrial (mercantilist) colonial times, monetary value was derived directly from the land. This was widely accepted by humans as the standard for millennia.
Essentially, a bunch of settlers showed up and openly displayed their inhumanity by stealing from locals who welcomed them. You know, the entire founding principle of the modern Western world.
Colonial legacy has led to an imbalance which is the direct opposite of what these comments imply.
