They're acting like AMC doesn't, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing ads for soda before a movie recently. I guess they'll have more ads and they'll be for other things.

Yeah no they've been doing this for a while, I remember seeing adds for cars, soda, and McDonalds before movies.
Haven't they been doing this for a while already? When I went to see Sinners they played a Toyota add before the movie.
Somebody might be able to make a small living going to movies, timing when the ads are over and making a blog that gives the actual movie start time.

Guys, MCU Expansion 2.3 has got lots of ads. The matinees start at 17 minutes after the hour. The regular shows start at 27 minutes. The primo shows at 37.

surely this isn't new? it's been a thing in my country for ages but the ratio of ads to trailers has definitely gotten worse over time
