Definitely. It's a remaster of a 3DS game, and Switch 1 had way more complex games come out and run well. I have a feeling this was because of some sort of deal to make it a big Switch 2 title to shift systems. Then again, given this is Square Enix we are dealing with (who often have release strategies that make no sense) who knows what the actual reason is for this being a Switch 2 exclusive.

I think its a pun because Japanese doesn’t have a distinct ‘r’ sound so the title can be read as “Bravely Default” or “Bravery Default”… not sure if it’s intentional!

The game is from square enix who did all the Final Fantasy series. Pretty similar to FF5 in some ways. There is a “default” mechanic in combat which the title is referring to.

I bought this at launch and didn’t open it because it is a game key instead of a game on a cartridge. I’m planning on returning it this weekend and buying it from the eShop when its time to play arrives.
