My favourite, I love hot pink, that he's a big squiggle and I'm just like him!

You just unlocked a memory! Haven't thought of these little guys for decades! My favorite:

He's a classic! You literally can't go wrong with him

Mr Tickle because of the long arms. Although I'm probably more Little Miss Shy.

[–] CEbbinghaus@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

God I haven't read these in forever. Life has changed so much and now I permanently feel like Mr Busy

[–] LadyButterfly@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Haha hear you there

[–] dellish@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

I have a soft spot for Mr Topsy Turvy and to this day I still say "read it all about". Absolute favourite would be either Mr Tickle or Mr Grumpy.

Anybody else remember a series of books with animals that seemed like a knock off of Mr Men/ Little Miss? I can't remember what it was called but I had a few. Can only remember one that I think was a pig or a horse that lived in a field that had an armchair and a TV like a typical living room.

Mr. Daydream!!! Little Miss Trouble and Mr Impossible were cool too but shoulda had better stories.

[–] LadyButterfly@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago

Good choices! You'd think Trouble would have the best story the name gives license

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Little Miss Daredevil, who was added in the cartoon series a while back ... I have a little plushie of her stashed away somewhere ...

[–] LadyButterfly@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I didn't know about her! She's a good one

[–] SharkWeek@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 days ago

Yeah, when I was little me and my sister both found the Little Miss lineup offputting, she had a Mr. Bump sticker on her bedroom door and I got Mr. Tickle ... Little Miss Daredevil kicks ass though :-)

Mr Grumpy knows what's up.

Mr uppity's complexion is a choice 😂

[–] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Good choice! What do you like about him?

[–] Hawke@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Not sure. Just one of the ones I remember enjoying the most as a small child.

Ones with nice memories are often the best

I don't know what these are, but they are reminding me of that pack of markers that smelled like fruits from the 90s

kagis

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Men

Mr. Men is a British series of children's books and media franchise written and illustrated by English author Roger Hargreaves which began publication in August 1971.[1] From 1981, an accompanying series of Little Miss books by the same author (but with female characters) was published.

The timeframe is plausible; they were out then.

[–] Jessica@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 5 days ago

Oh I figured it out! Sanford mr sketch scented markers

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 2 points 5 days ago

As someone with generalized anxiety disorder, I feel I can relate to Mr. Worry the best.

[–] jayemar@lemm.ee 2 points 5 days ago

Mr. Grumpy who would complain about the use of "whose" instead of "who's".

[–] GoOnASteamTrain@lemmy.ml 2 points 5 days ago

My gut choices without thinking about it are Mr Bounce and Little Miss Shy! :) loved these books! :)

[–] agent_nycto@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Mr perfect is clearly the best answer because he's perfect, all hail the new god king, be he ever merciful in his rule

Long may he reign!

I'm not sure if it is the same one, I only read the German translation. But I loved Little Miss Sunshine's story. It is increasingly more disturbing imagery straight from a horror movie and every other sentence ends with "Why is our story called Little Miss Sunshine?"

Of course it ends with her waking up and having not a single worry in the world.
